Meet Stephanie

Stephanie Bensinger Starr is a passionate consultant, educator, and advocate for students. Before becoming a college consultant, Stephanie spent 31 years teaching English while also serving as a department chair, faculty mentor, strategic planning committee member, diversity administrator, transition team leader, tutor, and field hockey coach.

 

Stephanie holds a Bachelors of Arts in English from Davidson College and a Masters of Education from the University of Richmond.  

 

​Stephanie also is trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, is an Associate member of The Independent Association of College Consultants, and is an active member in the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She raised four children who attended universities that fit their individual goals and temperaments. Both her professional and personal experience enable her to be an effective, compassionate, and empathic counselor to those seeking her support and services.
